How to Recycle Those Broken Cups and Saucers

So you have an unwanted collection of mix and match coffee and tea cups and saucers, along with bowls and plates leftover from a decade, or decades of unfortunate calamities. A chipped plate here, a cracked cup there, and absolutely no idea of what to do with them, other than toss them. Thus, you house them someplace out of the way, and pretend they do not exist, all the while thinking that must be better than trashing them.

Here is a way to make use of them, and liven up how you display your small plants. You can place small or large plates under pre-existing plants that are in containers. Or, you can actually grow herbs, and plants in those damaged cups, and then add the matching saucers for an adorable scene. This will bring a bit of interest into mix, and potentially pops of great colour depending on what you have to work with.

One last thing, this can also work really well with platters that have rusted, chipped, faded, or cracked. To unify a grouping of small potted plants simply put them on top of the platter. A darling extra touch of whimsy created in an instant.
